Some just read the disk to some block and start to corrupt data from there, some are just SMART warned and other are note ven recognized by the BIOS I have some HDD sitting around here that are meant to be faulty I have here an SATA Notebook HDD, and the SMART went On \o\ for some reason I do not was able to know.
